Job summary

A leading company in the retail sector is seeking a Financial Manager to develop and implement financial strategies. Job description

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.

Set up financial models for newly incorporated companies.

Conduct variance analysis and provide insights for informed decision-making.

Ensure timely preparation of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).

Oversee compliance with UAE tax laws (VAT, corporate tax) and financial regulations.

Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and statutory reporting.

Manage retail-specific finance operations, including POS system reconciliation, sales reporting, and margin analysis.

Monitor store financial performance, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and expense tracking.

Evaluate promotions, discounts, and loyalty programs from a financial perspective.

Develop and enforce internal controls to prevent fraud and financial discrepancies.

Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Ensure secure handling of retail transactions and payment processing.

Collaborate with senior management on business expansion plans and financial strategies.

Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and suppliers for financing and payment terms.

Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring skill development and performance optimization.

Requirements

CA/CPA/ACCA orMBA Finance.

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in financial management, with a strong background in the retail/fashion industry.

Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE tax regulations, and financial reporting.

Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and cost control.

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.

Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
