A leading company in the highly automated industrial laundry sector is seeking a Financial Manager to establish and develop its finance function in Dubai. This role demands a strategic thinker with 10 years of experience to oversee financial health, compliance, and operational success. The manager will contribute to the local management team while shaping financial processes and reporting.
We are representing a global leader in highly automated equipment for the industrial laundry sector, currently expanding its sales and service operations in the Middle East. To support this growth, our client is creating a new position for a Financial Manager based in Dubai.
This is a unique opportunity to step into a multi-faceted finance role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. As first finance hire in the region, the selected will build the local finance function, manage day-to-day operations, and shape financial processes that will scale with our growing business.
The selected candidate will serve as a key member of the local management team, overseeing the financial health and operational success of the organization. Focus will range from daily accounting and compliance to financial analysis, planning, and reporting. Area of responsibility will be to establish, drive and develop the finance function, and the finance manager will have extensive interaction with the company's sales, service, and spare parts departments.
The position requires a good and broad understanding of accounting and financial management as well as local compliance rules, which, in addition to daily accounting tasks, also include a part project follow-up.
Your Key Responsibilities
· Ensure accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting for Middle East entity.
· Develop and implement financial policies and internal controls in line with group standards and local compliance.
· Prepare quarterly and annual closings, monthly management reports, forecasts, and financial statements.
· Monitor budgets, expenses, and cash flow to ensure financial targets are met.
· Conduct financial analysis and scenario planning to support strategic business decisions.
· Provide insights on project performance (including work-in-progress reviews).
· Actively contribute to monthly management meetings and regional reporting.
· Serve as the point of contact for internal and external audits.
· Manage payment terms and follow up with clients on outstanding receivables.
· Report on ESG-related financial data.
· Oversee local HR-related processes, including payroll and onboarding (in coordination with superiors).
· Support financial aspects of operational and strategic projects.
· Maintain relationships with local banks and financial institutions.
· Provide financial guidance to other departments and stay current with trends in finance and business regulation.
Your Profile
· University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
· Minimum 10 years of experience in financial management, controlling, or accounting.
· Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws (UAE preferred).
· Proficient in ERP systems (ideally MS Dynamics AX and/or D365) and business intelligence tools (e.g. Cognos).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
· Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet tight deadlines.
· Excellent English and Arabic language skills; additional languages are a plus.
· Communicative, hands-on, and highly self-motivated.
· Valid UAE work authorization required (sponsorship not available)
