Job Description

FINANCE MANAGER

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager with strong experience in the oil and gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial health, ensuring accurate financial reporting, optimizing operational costs, and supporting strategic financial planning in a capital-intensive and regulation-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all financial and accounting operations including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Manage joint venture accounting, cost recovery processes, and production sharing contracts (PSCs).
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support operational efficiency and cost control initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, and project teams to track CAPEX and OPEX.
  • Monitor and manage project financing, including funding strategies and risk assessment.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, royalties, local content rules, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead internal and external audits; coordinate with auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Evaluate financial performance of upstream/downstream assets and investment opportunities.
  • Implement and maintain effective financial controls and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures including financial due diligence.
  • Develop and mentor finance team members to build industry-specific expertise.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • Professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) required.
  • Minimum 15– 20 years of progressive finance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of upstream/downstream accounting, PSCs, and JV operations.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, TALLY PRIME, SAP/ERP systems, and advanced Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Executive Secretary
  • Manage executives’ calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Prepare, proofread, and format internal and external documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Serve as a liaison between management and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Handle confidential documents and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Organize and maintain office systems, including data management and filing.
  • Take minutes during executive meetings and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Screen phone calls, inquiries, and requests, and handle them when appropriate.
  • Coordinate office procedures and executive-level projects.
  • Prepare briefing materials and background documents for meetings and events.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages addressed to management.
  • Draft, review, and send outgoing correspondence on behalf of management.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail, including confidential documents.
  • Coordinate courier services and ensure timely dispatch and receipt of important documents.
  • Perform other duties and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an executive or administrative support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.
