Job description

Amazon Ads is growing rapidly in Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and we are dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for brand advertisers, agencies, and entrepreneurs. We offer our customers a range of flexible pricing and buying models including self-service, managed service, and programmatic ad buying; these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, increase product sales, and more.

Amazon Ads seeks a Finance Manager to lead EMEA Ads Sales Finance. This role is the primary Finance partner to the General Manager of EMEA and sits on the EMEA Ads Leadership team.

A successful candidate will operate independently in a rapidly growing and evolving business. The ideal candidate will be as comfortable building and refining financial models as they are with challenging and refining business strategies.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Own the short and long-term revenue forecasts for EMEA Ads.
  2. Partner closely with the EMEA Ads GM and EMEA Ads leadership team.
  3. Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.
  4. Represent Amazon Ads EMEA to internal stakeholder teams across Ads Finance, Stores Finance, FP&A, Legal, Accounting, and Tax teams.
  5. Optimize and prioritize investments based on a deep understanding of the EMEA Ads landscape across industry verticals, agency partners, and advertiser growth trajectory.

A day in the life:
This role will be the leader of EMEA Ads Sales Finance and will interact with a diverse group of stakeholders across locales, functions, and levels.

About the team

This role is part of an international and decentralized team supporting over 30 recently launched Ads businesses across Asia, Europe, North and South America, and Australia.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. 5 years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience.
  2. 6 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
  3. 6 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.
  4. 6 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
  5. Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business; or Bachelor's degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering, process reengineering, quality assurance) experience.
  6. 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause, and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
  7. 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience.
  8. MBA or CPA.
  9. Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
  10. Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  11. Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis and data interpretation of results.
