Job Description
- Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with IFRS and internal policies.
- Generate management reports, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely delivery of reconciliations and adjustments.
- Prepare group-level consolidated reports, ensuring financial data from all entities is accurately captured.
- Support the CFO with board reports, budget vs. actual reports, and ad hoc financial analysis for strategic decisions.
- Monitor and report on financial KPIs and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee timely Corporate Tax and VAT filing in compliance with UAE regulations.
- Maintain accurate tax records and coordinate with external advisors or tax consultants.
- Ensure all statutory and internal compliance requirements are met on time.
- Keep up to date with changes in UAE tax laws and their financial impact on the business.
- Manage all month-end reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, receivables, payables, and accruals.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in account balances or financial data.
- Strengthen internal controls and financial processes to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
- Lead and supervise the finance and accounts team to ensure accurate day-to-day operations.
- Assign tasks, review performance, and support team development through regular feedback and training.
- Act as a bridge between finance and other departments to ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure all audit requirements are met.
- Address queries raised during the audit process and ensure smooth closure.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for financial transactions and procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional certification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in a similar role, preferably in a group or multi-entity setup.
- Deep understanding of UAE Corporate Tax and VAT laws.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
- Experience using accounting systems (ERP/SAP/Zoho/Tally/QuickBooks).
- Proficient in Excel, data analysis, and report automation.
- Strong communication, team leadership, and organizational skills.
