Job Title: Finance Manager
Reports to: Chairman
Location:Abu Dhabi
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose

The Finance Manager will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of a group of companies. The role involves leading budgeting and forecasting processes, financial reporting, project cost control, strategic planning, and ensuring full compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Working closely with the Chairman and senior management, the Finance Manager will support sustainable business growth and financial health while collaborating with project teams to monitor and manage project budgets and performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with company strategy.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, including variance analysis.

  • Provide insights into financial trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Support decision-making through financial modeling and trend analysis.

2. Project Financial Management
  • Work with project managers to monitor costs, timelines, and profitability.

  • Ensure adherence to project budgets and cash flows.

  • Analyze and report on project performance and propose cost-optimization measures.

3. Project Estimation & Cost Planning
  • Lead cost estimation and financial planning for new projects.

  • Collaborate with project teams to produce detailed and accurate cost breakdowns.

  • Evaluate risks and their financial impacts; update budgets based on changes in scope or design.

4. Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

  • Ensure compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS) and local regulations.

  • Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.

  • Manage tax filings and regulatory reporting.

5. Cash Flow & Risk Management
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and projects.

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies.

  • Assist in negotiating contracts to ensure favorable financial outcomes.

  • Manage debt and capital structure strategies effectively.

6. Bank Facility Management
  • Maintain relationships with financial institutions.

  • Manage bank facilities, guarantees, and funding requirements.

  • Oversee the proper utilization and reconciliation of bank accounts and credit lines.

7. Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, providing direction and guidance.

  • Foster a performance-driven culture and ensure adherence to best practices.

  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members.

8. Technology & Systems Integration
  • Oversee the integration and optimization of financial systems with other business platforms.

  • Leverage technology to improve accuracy and efficiency in reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Stay informed on industry trends and financial tools.

9. Strategic & Other Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze business valuations using models such as DCF and EBITDA.

  • Advise the Chairman on investment opportunities and financial strategies.

  • Develop executive dashboards for strategic reviews.

  • Support cross-functional management decisions and initiatives.

  • Assist the Chairman in business improvement and expansion planning.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CFA, or equivalent preferred).

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in financial management, ideally within the engineering or construction industry.

  • Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Strong understanding of project-based accounting, cost control, and risk management.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) skills.

  • Experience in Google Workspace is an asset.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial data clearly.

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
