Job description

The Finance Manager at Cairn Consultancy is a strategic role responsible for managing and protecting the financial interests of Cairn and its diverse client portfolio. The role oversees Cairn’s full financial ecosystem—including planning, reporting, compliance, cash flow, and client invoicing with a direct responsibility to ensure that the company’s financial health, client obligations, and profitability targets are consistently met and exceeded.

This position plays a key role in maintaining Cairn’s financial independence, credibility, and operational agility. The Finance Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring that all financial decisions, whether internal or client-facing, are data-driven, risk-conscious, and aligned with Cairn’s business goals and client service commitments.

Utilizing systems such as Power BI, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP, the Finance Manager will support strategic reporting, client billing accuracy, margin tracking, and performance analysis across all Cairn accounts

Accountabilities :

Strategic Leadership & Financial Governance:

  • Lead Cairn Consulting’s financial strategy and operations, ensuring strong governance, transparency, and alignment with growth objectives.
  • Represent Cairn’s financial integrity in engagements with investors, auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
  • Participate in strategic partnerships and alliances that support business growth and financial sustainability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments and projects lead to ensure finance aligns with operational and client priorities.

Financial Operations & Reporting:

  • Oversee all financial functions including budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting for both internal operations and client accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely consultancy invoicing, receivables, margin monitoring, and cash flow oversight.
  • Manage profit and loss (P&L) statements and prepare executive-level financial reports.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor project profitability to ensure service engagements remain commercially viable and high in quality.

Compliance, Risk & Controls:

  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with UAE and international regulations and standards.
  • Oversee tax planning, audit readiness, and financial practices that safeguard Cairn’s assets and reputation.
  • Identify financial risks or inefficiencies and present mitigation strategies to leadership.
  • Standardize financial best practices across all functions and engagements.
  • Technology-Enabled Decision Support:
  • Utilize Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and other tools to:
  • Generate actionable insights and dashboards
  • Track financial KPIs
  • Enable data-driven decision-making
  • Automate and streamline reporting functions

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial analysts and accountants.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in in Finance, Accounting, or a related field .
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACC .
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in finance management, preferably in a consulting or multinational company.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other financial tools/software.
