Job summary

A Dubai-based family group is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for their publishing and media division. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of finance management experience, preferably in the media sector. This role requires strong financial reporting skills and fluent English, with responsibilities including budgeting, compliance, and auditing. Applications from outside the UAE will not be considered.

Qualifications

Job description

Our client is a Dubai-based family group with a diverse portfolio across multiple sectors. They are currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager to work in their publishing and media division.

Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for Annual Business Planning and Budgeting in close coordination with the Business Unit Head.
  2. Consolidation, review, and analysis of Monthly MIS reports and periodic Budget reviews.
  3. Preparation of Feasibility studies for new growth opportunities, capital expenditure, marketing promotions, and operational investments.
  4. Commercial and financial review of all contracts and agreements, especially relating to procurement, capital expenditure, and marketing.
  5. Enhance reporting capabilities to monitor key business drivers regularly and share analysis with senior management for appropriate action.
  6. Ensure Budgetary control and compliance with policies and procedures, establishing a monitoring mechanism for implementation.
  7. Develop a compliance framework and a robust team to strengthen internal controls across the business.
  8. Handle Business Processes Reengineering projects to improve productivity.
  9. Financial reporting and treasury management.
  10. Provide comprehensive financial accounting, reporting, and analysis support to the entire business.
  11. Responsible for revenue and cost accounting in compliance with IFRS.
  12. Manage statutory, internal, and other audits, and implement recommendations efficiently and promptly.
Applicant Requirements:
  1. Must be located in the UAE; applications from outside the UAE will not be considered.
  2. Qualified Accountant or MBA.
  3. Minimum of 8+ years of experience in finance, including management experience.
  4. Experience in media or publishing sectors is preferred.
  5. Fluent English skills are mandatory.
