Job summary

Hyrd Consulting in Abu Dhabi seeks a commercially-minded Chief Financial Officer with a proven track record in technology, AdTech monetisation, and fundraising to lead FP&A, treasury, and investor relations.

You will partner with the CEO to shape financial strategy, manage multi-entity operations across US/UK/MENA, and build a scalable finance function that supports international growth. Strong modelling, governance, and hands-on UK/GCC reporting are preferred.

Qualifications

• CA or ACCA qualification is mandatory.
• Proven experience as CFO/VP Finance in high-growth technology, AdTech, fintech, or SaaS.
• Experience leading fundraising through Series A/B or later.
• Expert-level financial modelling, revenue forecasting, cash flow management.
• Strong budgeting, cost control, and performance management.
• Hands-on managing international finance operations (US, UK, MENA) including tax, audit, and FX.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in the technology sector, fundraising, financial strategy, and complex financing transactions.

The ideal candidate will combine strong financial leadership with deep expertise in AdTech monetisation, investor relations, fundraising, and international finance operations, working closely with the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy, Planning & Modelling

• Own all aspects of financial planning, forecasting, and modelling, including revenue projections, cash flow management, and full balance sheet modelling.
• Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and investment scenarios aligned with fundraising and growth objectives.
• Establish divisional budgets, monitor expenditure, drive accountability, and ensure alignment with profitability targets.
• Provide strategic insights on margin optimisation, capital allocation, and financial performance.

Commercial Strategy & AdTech Monetisation

• Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape commercial strategy, monetisation models, and market expansion plans.
• Develop a strong understanding of AdTech revenue models, including CPM, CPI, CPC, and programmatic advertising.
• Monitor key performance indicators, including LTR, eCPM, and ROAS, to support commercial decision-making and profitability.

Fundraising, Board & Investor Relations

• Lead fundraising initiatives and manage relationships with venture capital firms, private equity investors, institutional funds, and lenders, including US-based investors.
• Prepare board reports, investor updates, financial narratives, KPI dashboards, and fundraising materials.
• Support due diligence and equity/debt financing transactions, including preparation for Series B and subsequent funding rounds.
• Structure and negotiate complex financing arrangements and large debt transactions.

Finance Operations, Governance & Compliance

• Build and scale the finance function, establishing lean and scalable processes across accounting, FP&A, tax, audit, and compliance.
• Oversee financial reporting, internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage international finance operations across the US, UK, and MENA, including multi-entity consolidations, cross-border payments, tax considerations, and foreign exchange exposure.
• Manage external auditors, including experience with UK-based audit firms, and ensure compliance with relevant financial reporting standards.
• Oversee finance systems, ideally with hands‑on experience using Xero, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Looker, Chargebee, or similar platforms.

Working Capital & Team Leadership

• Oversee advertiser collections and ensure timely payments to publishers and developers.
• Maintain healthy working capital and protect commercial relationships.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting financial discipline and operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• CA or ACCA qualification is mandatory.
• Proven experience as a CFO, VP Finance, or Head of Finance within a high-growth technology, AdTech, fintech, SaaS, or tech-enabled business.
• Experience leading a company through Series A funding and preparing for Series B or later-stage fundraising is highly desirable.
• Expert‑level financial modelling skills, including revenue forecasting, cash flow management, and full balance sheet planning.
• Strong track record in budgeting, divisional cost control, and financial performance management.
• Hands‑on experience managing international finance operations across the US, UK, and MENA, including tax, audit, compliance, FX, and multi‑entity consolidation.
• In‑depth understanding of AdTech monetisation, programmatic revenue flows, and industry metrics such as CPM, CPI, CPC, eCPM, ROAS, and LTR.
• Demonstrated success in managing working capital, advertiser collections, and publisher/developer payments.
• Proven experience preparing board and investor materials and supporting fundraising, due diligence, and complex financing transactions.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience building and mentoring finance teams in high‑growth, resource‑constrained environments.
• Experience with Xero and UK financial reporting or audit environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 and relevant governance frameworks is an advantage.
• International exposure across the UK, US, Singapore, or MENA is desirable.
• An MBA or additional strategic finance training would be an advantage.
