Job summary

Curtin Dubai seeks an experienced academic to lead teaching and scholarly activities in Finance, contributing to high-quality teaching, learning enhancement, and student success. The role includes engagement with industry partners and delivery of a range of assessments within an international framework.

The candidate will maintain an active research agenda, collaborate across Curtin global campuses, and support student employability and program development on a full-time, on-campus basis.

Qualifications

• A doctoral degree in Finance or a closely related field.
• Teaching experience in higher education institutions aligned with international frameworks (Australian/UK or similar).
• Evidence of continuing personal and professional development in teaching and related areas.
• Maintained AACSB accreditation requirements through scholarly and professional activities.
• Ability to engage with a diverse range of students and settings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, workshops, seminars and laboratory classes in the subject area.
• Administer and assess examinations, quizzes, assignments, projects, laboratory work and other assessments.
• Provide constructive and timely feedback to support student learning and progression.
• Maintain regular consultation hours and provide academic guidance, mentoring and support to students.
• Oversee teaching practices and manage unit-level administrative requirements.
• Support student employability, career readiness and graduate outcomes across the student lifecycle.
• Coordinate internships, industry placements and experiential learning opportunities.
