Job description

JOB PURPOSE

  • Provide 'real-time' support and analysis as a trusted adviser to add value that will assist in decision-making and drive the business forward. Serve as a liaison for business units, providing proactive financial insight, understanding, consultation, and support. Mediate between business units and the central Finance team to ensure visibility of financial performance, including budgeting, variance analysis, cost center reporting, and accrual calculations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Relationships: Support business in achieving financial objectives by managing budgets and financial performance. Liaise with sales and finance teams for timely collection of receivables and coordinate with Credit Control for collections.
  • Facilitation: Summarize P&L and recommend strategic actions to the General Manager. Conduct trend analysis and KPI benchmarking to support target setting and process improvements. Oversee month-end close processes and review performance.
  • Operational Support: Develop and maintain BI reports in QlikView. Track business performance through dashboards and reports. Review monthly results for accuracy and communicate deviations to the corporate Finance team.
  • Planning: Lead forecasting and budgeting cycles. Develop annual budgets, assign targets, and monitor adherence. Maintain budget data in ERP systems and analyze growth scenarios.
  • Service Delivery: Develop performance metrics and reports, such as the Corporate Planner, to facilitate budget management.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Present reports emphasizing strategic performance via balanced scorecards. Lead market and competitor studies to inform product development and pricing strategies. Manage relationships, especially with the Automobile business unit, and address all financial requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management, Accounting, or equivalent (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA). A finance certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Core competencies include impactful communication, teamwork, analytical skills, result orientation, self-development, adaptability, and customer focus.
