Job description

Who are we?

We pride ourselves on a culture of purpose, passion, and compassion. At Mizuho, we provide the stability of an international industry leader with the career trajectory of a growing business. Our steady, strategic growth offers our employees at all levels rewarding responsibilities and a richer work experience than a boutique firm or an established giant could provide alone.

Working for Mizuho opens doors not just to a rewarding career with excellent prospects, but to lasting friendships with colleagues from diverse cultures. It's the local expertise of our employees that makes our global network so powerful. By collaborating with colleagues and clients who share your ambition, you can amplify your influence and knowledge as part of one of the largest and growing banks in the world.

    • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
    • Check invoices received against proper documentation and seek approvals.
    • Liaise with London EPU to ensure efficient processing of expense claim sheets and reduce operational risk.
    • Prepare and support (in conjunction with Finance London) monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as requested.
    • Support budget monitoring and expenditure.
    • Assist with tax-related tasks, including VAT filings and corporate tax returns.
  • Administrative responsibilities:
    • Provide general administrative support to the branches, including processing invoices, expenses, handling VISA matters, supporting travel arrangements, answering calls and emails, scheduling, and assisting with project management.
    • Oversee office supplies, equipment maintenance, and facilities management.
    • Manage service contracts, insurance policies, and vendor relationships.
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
    • Support HR functions with onboarding, relocations, and departures.
    • Assist with DIFC visas and immigration documentation.
  • Support administration of benefits programs such as life & health insurance, and training sessions (First Aid & Fire Safety).
  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as requested by MD, GM, or JGM.

What do you need to succeed?
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to support change, innovate, and solve problems.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit.
  • Knowledge of the banking industry.
  • High computer literacy, especially in data manipulation and presentation.
  • Language skills are a plus but not essential.
  • Positive, proactive attitude.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Sense of responsibility and commitment.
