Finance Analyst - Statutory, Taxation & Compliance

WSP in the Middle East is hiring a finance professional with strong experience in statutory reporting, taxation, and regulatory compliance within large multinational environments, ideally in the engineering, consulting, or infrastructure sectors, to join us in the UAE.

The ideal candidate will have exposure to these sectors and will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with both local and international financial and tax regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Statutory Reporting & Accounting Standards: Participate in aligning with WSP's global corporate accounting policies and drive consistency across regional entities. Collaborate in preparing, reviewing, and finalizing statutory financial statements across ME countries in compliance with IFRS and local regulations. Keep abreast of regulatory changes and assess their impact.
  • Taxation & Compliance: Support tax return preparation and filing, including Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax, and VAT returns across ME countries. Support transfer pricing compliance, economic substance reporting, and monitor evolving tax legislation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CA/CPA/ACCA qualification or equivalent (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in statutory accounting, tax compliance, or audit (Big 4 experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and corporate tax regulations.
  • Prior exposure to large multinational environments, ideally in engineering, consulting, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Oracle.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to liaise with stakeholders.
