Description

About the role
In this role, you will need to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation, control adherence, and risk mitigation across branch and system operations, while driving service excellence and continuous process improvement. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, this role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure operational integrity, risk mitigation, and service excellence across reconciliation and control processes.
What You ll Be Doing :
• Perform daily reconciliation of Card Control, Suspense accounts, and review control reports related to suspense/sub-system reconciliation.
• Conduct branch reconciliation proofing visits as per schedule (minimum one visit per day).
• Investigate outstanding items, take corrective actions, and escalate unresolved entries beyond 5 days.
• Analyze reconciliation proofing for accounts managed by the Single Recon Team.
• Execute all desk duties and operational tasks with accuracy and within defined timelines.
• Verify daily reports, ensure control mechanisms are followed, and dispatch periodical reports/escalations on time.
• Prevent operational losses by adhering to controls and promptly highlighting discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain service standards in line with SLAs and operating procedures.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and service levels.
• Respond proactively to customer inquiries and escalate issues when necessary.
• Support business continuity initiatives and participate in related training.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager or Line Manager.
What We re Looking For :
• Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 2 3 years of experience in reconciliation or analytical roles within the banking sector, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
• Industry Exposure: Strong understanding of banking operations, reconciliation processes, and regulatory compliance (AML/KYC).
