Job summary

Air Q in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled UAV Pilot to join the Flight Operations Division. The role involves planning, preparing, and executing UAV flight operations in support of external clients and internal R&D, across aerial target services, UAV inspection, and R&D testing.

This is a field-based, operationally intensive role requiring strong safety culture, physical fitness, and the ability to deploy to locations across the UAE and beyond as needed.

Qualifications

• GCAA Remote Pilot Licence (RPL) valid or equivalent recognized licence with ability to obtain GCAA RPL.
• Minimum 2 years of professional UAV operating experience.
• Excellent English communication and coordination skills, written and verbal.
• Experience conducting field-based operations in outdoor, physically demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct UAV flight operations in accordance with GCAA regulations and client requirements.
• Set up, configure, calibrate, and operate ground control stations and related equipment in the field.
• Act as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) and make go/no-go decisions.
• Coordinate with pilots, payload operators, engineers, and ground crew during missions.
• Prepare clear post-mission reports and maintain flight logs and maintenance records.
