Job description

Client of IPAMS Industrial Personnel and Management Services

Qualifications:
  • Minimum high school graduate or equivalent. College level is a plus.
  • Three years of experience in petroleum operations.
Task Description:
  1. Operate product pumps of various sizes, air compressors, cargo loading arms, cranes and gantries, firefighting and other safety equipment, fire water and foam systems, truck loading and decanting systems, additive/dye injection equipment, oil/water separator, pig launchers and receivers, thermal heater, and other terminal equipment.
  2. Perform pump and pipeline line-up, set-up manifolds, rig telescopic tubes, switch over pumps, manipulate valves, remove/install flanges and blinds, change and clean filters, load and/or decant trucks and iso-containers, connect and disconnect hoses, and other activities needed for cargo operations.
  3. Take manual measurements of tank stocks, draw tank and pipeline samples, test samples, vent and/or drain pipelines, remove water from tanks, tank roofs, and sumps, and perform tank cleaning as needed.
  4. Check and monitor ongoing processes and equipment within your area of responsibility to ensure operating variables (temperatures, pressures, product levels, flow rates, etc.) are within allowable limits and equipment are effectively utilized.
  5. Inspect, lubricate, and perform condition monitoring and minor maintenance of operational equipment. Replace small fittings such as valves, pressure gauges, and similar items in bad condition.
  6. Maintain the general housekeeping of your area of responsibility.
  7. Initiate repairs for defective equipment when possible; otherwise, report and hand over to the Maintenance Department for repair or replacement.
  8. Perform Document Assistant (DA) functions, including but not limited to:
    1. Truck loading/decanting assignments and documentation via Newton.
    2. Material requisition preparation, follow-up, and documentation using SAP.
    3. Store inventory monitoring and reconciliation.
    4. Recording operational and administrative data and preparing monthly reports.
  9. Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.
