Job summary

Egis in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a seasoned Substation Automation Engineer to lead field surveys and site activities across substations and pump stations. You will capture device configurations and support integration of RTUs/IEDs within dual-LDC operation contexts.

In this role you will assess protocol support, obsolescence, and scope for architecture adaptation, contributing to project architecture and system upgrades.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical/Control Engineering.
8+ years with substation automation, RTUs/IEDs, recorders and WAMS/PQA.
Experience on transmission automation upgrade project.

Responsibilities

Lead site surveys.
Capture field device/configuration data.
Assess protocol support, obsolescence, adaptation needs for dual-LDC operations.
Site visits to substations & pump stations.
Assess WAMS/PQA/WMS/EDL.
Inputs to architecture & adaptation scope.
