Field Service Technician (Reciprocating and Progressive Cavity Pumps)

Job Summary

Reporting to the Service Team Leader, the Service Technician will support and service all products and clients for NOV's Process & Flow Technologies business within the Middle East market. Relevant experience in electrical and mechanical servicing of pump products, including reciprocating, centrifugal, and/or progressive cavity pumps & chokes, is essential. The role involves liaising with internal stakeholders at our Dubai site, managing schedules to maintain strong customer relations, and driving continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and performance in industrial markets. The technician will also be responsible for installations, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, product training, and supporting the sales team with technical queries.

Responsibilities:

1. Liaise with project teams, management, clients, and vendors regarding installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance activities.
2. Prepare, review, and approve work packs for related activities.
3. Coordinate with subcontractors for on-site activities.
4. Undertake installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up of process plants, including P&ID walk-downs, mechanical completion, factory acceptance tests, leak/pressure testing, and training.
5. Train operators and client personnel on process plant and equipment per NOV manuals.
6. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
7. Arrange services and collaborate with departments to meet customer and production needs.
8. Maintain relationships with operational personnel and gather customer feedback.
9. Provide after-sales services, including inspections, spares, advice, and liaising with engineering teams.
10. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standards.
11. Travel to customer sites as required.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5-7 years of field/service experience with relevant product lines.
• 5+ years of experience in pump installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of reciprocating, centrifugal, and/or progressive cavity pumps.
• ONC/HNC/HND in Engineering; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and documentation.
• Previous Oil & Gas experience in the Middle East.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of industry standards, local compliance, and laws.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
