Job summary

NOV seeks a skilled workshop technician in Abu Dhabi to perform service, repair and assembly activities in line with standard procedures. You will accurately complete service reports, document checklists, and update systems while conducting visual inspections and reporting findings.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, knowledge of overhead cranes/breakout machines, and at least 2 years in oilfield repair environments.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Awareness and understanding of workshop environments.
• Physically fit for workshop-based work.
• Knowledge of operating overhead cranes and breakout machines.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Previous experience in oilfield repair and maintenance shops.
• Advanced knowledge of overhead cranes and breakout machines.

• Maintain good housekeeping practices within the workshop environment.
• Complete assigned training and competency development programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the team leader.
