Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide hands-on support for Sundyne pumps, compressors, and rotating equipment in both field and factory settings.

The role blends installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, reporting, and RCFA activities while enabling training and mentoring of colleagues. The position requires extensive travel (50% or more) and strong technical expertise, professional communication, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with rotating equipment or mechanical systems.
• Ability to read P&ID drawings and troubleshoot field issues.
• Knowledge of API seal plans and API standards helpful.
• Experience with international travel and field service assignments.
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication in customer-facing environments.
• Strong technical writing skills for service reports and RCFA documentation.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and rebuilding of Sundyne equipment.
• Supervise customer craft personnel on-site to ensure safety and technical standards.
• Prepare field reports and ensure documentation is completed on time.
• Communicate professionally with customers, channel partners, and internal teams.
• Provide technical expertise on pumps, compressors, controls, and rotating equipment.
• Analyze hardware and operating conditions to identify failure modes and confirm OEM compliance.
• Participate in RCFA activities with internal teams and customers.
• Troubleshoot field units using control-system logic and verify correct operation.
• Create and manage service cases in CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).
• Perform independent warranty evaluations at customer sites.
