Job Description
Role Overview

Installation, service, and support of Rapiscan X-RAY screening systems in the UAE/MEA region. This role will primarily support all X-ray and Trace product lines of Rapiscan systems across multiple projects.

Responsibilities
  1. Work on Rapiscan’s Product Line: installation, commissioning, and service support of X-ray and Trace systems in UAE/MEA.
  2. Conduct service site surveys prior to installations and prepare professional site reports.
  3. Perform fitting, system diagnosis, troubleshooting, and fault finding on detection systems and subsystems, including repair, maintenance, and overhaul.
  4. Complete technical documentation such as service reports, engineering change requests, and input data into a database. Ensure timely completion of Field Modification Instructions and maintenance documentation.
  5. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance and attend call-outs.
  6. Conduct detailed failure analysis, investigations, reporting, and resolution.
  7. Recommend spare parts to management based on service levels and intervals.
  8. Submit service and non-conformance reports promptly.
  9. Provide feedback to Engineering, Product Line Management, and QA for continuous improvement.
  10. Participate in departmental ad-hoc duties and special projects.
  11. Interface with operators, technicians, and BHS managers regarding equipment status.
  12. Adhere to all health and safety requirements at the company and customer sites.
  13. Make technical decisions and consult with Engineering/PLM as needed.
  14. Serve as the focal point for requests or disputes.
  15. Formulate and close technical incident reports.
  16. Raise, implement, and close change requests.
  17. Distribute information and obtain permissions for planned work.
  18. Recommend improvements to ensure equipment availability.
  19. Attend technical meetings as required.
Qualifications
  1. BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Postgraduate qualification in Electrical Engineering is desirable.
  3. IT qualifications (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.) are a plus.
  4. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, civil, hydraulic, electronics, or complex electro-mechanical systems; or HV systems in medical or industrial engineering.
  5. 3-4 years of experience in field service, preferably in the X-ray industry.
  6. Knowledge of electronic and mechanical assemblies, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  7. Familiarity with test equipment (DVM) and experience with high voltage and X-ray equipment preferred.
  8. Proficiency in business communication, both oral and written.
  9. Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills.
  10. Computer literacy with MS Office and aptitude for specialized software.
  11. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with minimal oversight.
  12. Flexible schedule, including non-standard hours, on-call, weekends, and holidays.
