Job description

At Weatherford, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Engineer III - Liner Hangers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks or jobs for a variety of products and services related to liner hangers. You will work closely with clients, providing technical expertise and ensuring superior service quality.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in daily operations, safety meetings, job hazard analysis, and promptly report any issues.
  2. Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in safe and presentable conditions.
  3. Monitor and analyze data to recommend services and solutions.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge and skills to perform work processes according to your role level and competence.
  5. Perform job planning, preparation, mobilization, job execution, and submit all job-related data and documentation within acceptable timeframes.
  6. Be available on a 24-hour call basis to respond to client needs.
  7. Test, operate, and maintain tools and equipment according to work instructions, policies, and procedures, based on your level of training and competence.
  8. Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
  9. Effectively manage inventory and supplies required at the well site.
  10. Follow up on failures with the R&M team and ensure failure reports are closed with clients.
  11. Contribute, participate, or lead equipment failure investigations that support Root Cause Analysis reports.
  12. Oversee, lead, and mentor Field Operation crew members (for intermediate and senior-level roles).
  13. Act as a technical advisor to management and interpret data for client representatives to optimize services (for senior-level roles).
  14. Perform engineering checks while on client location, including hand calculations, software computations, or new computations based on the latest data (for intermediate and senior-level roles).
  15. Manage the installation of complex equipment and/or services in the field (for senior-level Field Specialist roles).

Skills:

  1. Fundamentals of Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics, Pneumatics, and/or Hydraulics.
  2. Mathematics.
  3. Basic Physics and Chemistry.
  4. Computer fundamentals.
  5. Critical thinking, active learning, listening, and complex problem-solving.
  6. Good reading and writing skills, strong judgment, and decision-making in line with policies and procedures.
  7. Time management.
  8. Quality Control Analysis to ensure the product meets required standards.
  9. Service Orientation.
  10. Physically capable of undertaking the tasks required to perform the role.
  11. Information and task ordering, and ability to identify and understand potential problems and solutions.
  12. Ability to react effectively and efficiently in operating tools and machinery.
  13. Ability to visualize how tools and products will look when preparing for assembly, repair, or modifications.
  14. Mathematical Reasoning.

Qualifications:

Preferred Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent valuable years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in Liner Hangers jobs with 4 - 10 years of experience.
