ResponsibilitiesThis position reports to the FGFD Sales Leader - MEAIRR and is responsible for identifying opportunities in Dubai, Northern Emirates, and Oman for the sales of MSA’s FGFD product portfolio.
The role manages the FGFD Channel Partner Network in these regions and works across all market segments and customer types, including End Users, EPCs, System Integrators, Service Providers, and Package Vendors, to develop and increase the FGFD market share. This involves short-term and long-term strategies.
Major Responsibilities:- Lead, drive, and manage the Fixed Gas & Flame Detection sales in the assigned territories to maximize orders.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders through multiple communication channels professionally.
- Create a Market Making activities list relevant to this responsibility.
- Develop an activity calendar for individual and collaborative work with the MSA Marketing team and Channel Partners.
- Identify key project opportunities and develop strategic action plans to secure success in the region.
- Manage all large in-country project activities exceeding $100,000.
- Develop sales pursuit activities targeting EPCs, Consultants, and End Users.
- Guide and lead Channel Partners in project pursuits, communicate forecasts, and coordinate with the Country Sales Manager.
- Maintain target gross margins on all projects and large opportunities.
- Build relationships with end users, joint venture partners, and engineering contractors from project conception to delivery.
- Travel within the region for pursuit activities.
- Prepare comprehensive F&G solution bids for major projects.
- Coordinate with the FGFD BDM for New Energies to share project intelligence.
- Support order close-out processes for strategic projects to grow the FGFD installed base.
- Monitor competition and pricing strategies.
- Establish partnerships with system integrators, automation and fire safety contractors, and maintenance providers.
- Develop an active pipeline of projects at all stages in Salesforce.
- Report on incoming project forecasts and follow up on proposals.
- Identify gaps in AVL approvals and work with Key Accounts Managers or channel partners to address these.
- Present project solutions and product value propositions, negotiate prices, and close deals.
- Analyze market competition and adapt pursuit plans accordingly.
- Position MSA as the preferred F&G solutions partner.
- Review tenders and collaborate on proposals with inside sales.
- Explore third-party solutions to optimize offerings.
- Leverage MSA’s global resources and monitor competitor activities.
- Collaborate with other MSA teams to maximize product pull-through.
- Manage and develop Channel Partners.
- Meet deadlines, report regularly, and utilize Salesforce effectively.
Qualifications- Minimum 10 years of FGFD sales experience in the Middle East.
- Strong knowledge of market segments and customers, including Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, EPC, and System Integration sectors.
- Engineering degree in Instrumentation.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic is preferred.
- Willingness to travel 50-70% or more of the time.
