Job description

We are looking for a highly organized, friendly, and professional female receptionist who will also take on cashier responsibilities at our medical center. The ideal candidate should have a warm and welcoming personality, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The role requires a blend of administrative duties and financial transaction handling, contributing to the smooth day-to-day operations of the center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reception Duties:
    Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner.
    Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding medical services, appointments, and general information.
    Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments as needed.
    Maintain patient records and ensure all details are up-to-date and accurate.
    Provide general office support and assist with administrative tasks as required.
    Ensure waiting areas are clean, comfortable, and welcoming.
    Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Cashier Responsibilities:
    Process patient payments for medical services, ensuring accurate cash handling.
    Issue receipts for payments and maintain records of transactions.
    Handle insurance claims, ensuring that information is entered correctly and that billing is done in a timely manner.
    Assist patients with payment-related queries and provide information about insurance claims, co-payments, and billing.
    Prepare and reconcile daily cash reports, ensuring all transactions are accurately accounted for.
    Coordinate with the accounting department to ensure the smooth processing of payments and receipts.
  • Customer Service:
    Provide a high level of customer service by addressing patient concerns, complaints, and requests professionally and promptly.
    Foster a positive environment that promotes patient satisfaction and retention.
    Communicate effectively with medical staff and other team members to ensure patient needs are met.
  • Administrative Support:
    Assist with office duties, such as filing, faxing, and managing office supplies.
    Support the clinic management team with any other administrative tasks as needed.
    Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Nationality: Filipino
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in customer service or healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a receptionist or cashier role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills:
    Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations.
    Excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail.
    Knowledge of basic accounting principles or experience with billing is a plus.
    Knowledge of medical insurance and billing procedures is an advantage.
    Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
    Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
