A leading hotel group in Abu Dhabi seeks a Bar Supervisor to oversee operations in their upscale bar setting. The role involves managing staff, maintaining high standards for beverages and cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with HACCP regulations. Ideal candidates will have a background in hospitality with several years of experience in a high-end hotel environment, paired with strong leadership qualities.
1.1.1 To participate in the formulation of the Annual Operating Budget, including projected revenues, expenses, operating equipment, and FF&E requirements, aligned with the Annual Business Plan.
1.1.2 To prepare schedules for all personnel based on forecasts and staffing guides, ensuring adequate manpower at all times under the guidance of the Assistant F&B Manager.
1.1.3 To recommend hiring, promotions, and dismissals to the Assistant F&B Manager.
1.1.4 To ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all outlet areas.
1.1.5 To assist in planning promotions, beverage purchases, and pricing under the supervision of the Assistant F&B Manager.
1.1.6 To maintain sanitary conditions according to health codes and hotel standards.
1.1.7 To supervise daily operations according to standards set by hotel management and the Assistant F&B Manager.
1.1.8 To consult with the Assistant F&B Manager on service matters.
1.1.9 To supervise all bar personnel, observing attitudes towards colleagues and guests.
1.1.10 To identify training needs and propose programs in collaboration with the Assistant F&B Manager, ensuring continuous professional development.
1.1.11 To ensure proper handling of equipment to minimize breakages and losses.
1.1.12 To inspect all areas daily before opening, following a standard checklist, and ensuring adherence to closing duties.
1.1.13 To enforce policies and procedures under the guidance of the Assistant F&B Manager.
1.1.14 To prepare requisitions for beverages, condiments, supplies, and guest essentials, considering established par stocks.
1.1.15 To participate in creating new drinks and snacks, improving presentations, and proposing variations to the Assistant F&B Manager.
1.1.16 To monitor beverage cost of sales continuously.
1.1.17 To provide consumption data for purchasing in collaboration with the Head Bartender.
1.1.18 To maintain standards for beverages, food, and cocktails under the supervision of the Assistant F&B Manager.
1.1.19 To adhere to grooming standards as per hotel and F&B service policies.
1.1.20 To act as the person in charge of the bar operation in the absence of the Assistant F&B Manager.
1.1.21 To assist in ensuring dress code and entrance procedures are followed.
1.1.22 To help maintain sound and lighting levels according to standards.
1.1.23 To inspect fridges and storage to check expiry dates.
1.1.24 To observe opening and closing hours as per law and standards.
1.1.25 To control beverage usage to prevent wastage, in collaboration with the Head Bartender.
1.1.26 To perform any other duties assigned by the Assistant F&B Manager.
1.1.27 To conduct internal induction and training for new staff in coordination with the Assistant F&B Manager.
1.1.28 To promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy, and high social skills.
1.1.29 To foster good inter-departmental relations.
1.1.30 To maintain a pleasant manner and positive attitude, promoting a good company image.
1.1.31 To demonstrate pride in personal appearance and commitment when representing the hotel.
1.1.32 To comply with company and hotel rules and regulations.
1.1.33 To report equipment failures or issues to Maintenance.
1.1.34 To pass maintenance requests to Maintenance.
1.1.35 To participate in training and development schemes as advised by senior management.
1.1.36 To assist the Duty Manager with tasks as outlined.
1.1.37 To comply with management requests to the best of your ability.
Qualifications
HACCP : Full compliance with HACCP standards and certification.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Food & Beverage production standards, policy & procedure adherence.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Diploma or degree in hospitality-related field, 5-7 years experience in 4-5 star hotels.
