The Fashion Designer Arabic Speaker will be responsible for creating original apparel concepts that resonate with regional trends, cultural aesthetics, and the brand's identity. Based in a creative studio or fashion house in the UAE, the designer will develop seasonal collections, from initial sketches to final production, ensuring quality, innovation, and market appeal. This role involves close collaboration with pattern makers, merchandisers, and production teams, along with frequent trend research and sourcing of fabrics and accessories suited to the Gulf market. Fluency in Arabic is essential for effective communication with local clients, suppliers, and regional collaborators.
Responsibilities:
Designing and developing fashion collections that reflect brand identity while aligning with regional market preferences and cultural sensitivities.
Conducting market and trend research to anticipate seasonal styles, fabrics, colors, and consumer behaviors in the UAE and GCC region.
Preparing detailed sketches, mood boards, and technical drawings for each collection.
Sourcing appropriate materials, trims, and accessories, ensuring alignment with quality standards and budget.
Coordinating with pattern makers, tailors, and production teams to ensure design accuracy and timely delivery.
Attending fittings and making necessary alterations to maintain fit and aesthetic standards.
Participating in fashion shows, pop-ups, and brand events across the UAE to showcase new collections.
Liaising with Arabic-speaking clients and vendors to gather feedback, explain design concepts, and finalize orders.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in fashion design.
Fluency in Arabic and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, cultural relevance, and technical proficiency.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools.
Deep understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and regional fashion preferences.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic, trend-driven environment.
Knowledge of UAE labor laws, intellectual property protections, and cultural dress codes in fashion design.
