Job summary

Chalhoub Group in Dubai invites applications for a Buying Trainee for Lacoste. You’ll gain a front-row view into how fashion, product and commercial decisions come together to create the right collections for our customers.

You’ll learn the full buying cycle, balancing fashion instinct with data and commercial thinking. You’ll work with the Buying team to select products, plan assortments, track stock and apply market insights to future buys.

Qualifications

• UAE National with a Family Book.
• Background in Economics, Finance, Business Management, Analytics, or another relevant field.
• Genuine interest in fashion and retail business operations.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills; Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proactive approach and confidence asking questions.
• Ability to balance creativity with analytical and commercial thinking.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update Buying Excel trackers, ensuring data accuracy.
• Support the development of seasonal assortment plans and presentations.
• Learn product selection and how past decisions influence future buys.
• Identify repeat-buy opportunities and understand product needs.
• Share observations on products, competitors and trends.
• Work with Supply Chain to monitor stock deliveries and store readiness.
• Assist with stock and delivery follow-ups during key periods like Fashion Week.
• Conduct online and in-store competitor research to spot trends.
• Participate in market visits to understand regional customer profiles.
• Explore Ramadan, Back to School and Back to Work impacts on assortment.
• See how Buying, Retail, Supply Chain and brand work together from selection to customer.
