Job description

Job Summary:

Batterjee Medical College (BMC) Dubai Branch is seeking dynamic and experienced faculty members to join the Preparatory Year Program as English Language Instructors. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong record in teaching, research, academic advising, and community engagement and will contribute to the academic and developmental goals of BMC.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver engaging student-centered English language lectures at the preparatory level.
2. Employ innovative teaching methodologies and assessment tools to enhance learning outcomes.
3. Conduct and publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals.
4. Participate actively in academic advising, mentoring, and administrative functions.
5. Support the college's community service and social responsibility initiatives.
6. Stay abreast of educational and technological advancements in the field.
7. Perform academic duties assigned by the Program Head and College Leadership.

Requirements

Education:

1. Ph.D. or Master’s Degree in Linguistics / Applied Linguistics / English Language Teaching from a recognized university.
2. TESOL / TEFL / CELTA certification is highly desirable.
3. Any additional certified training in the field is an advantage.

Experience:

1. A minimum of 4-5 years of full-time teaching experience at the undergraduate level in reputable academic institutions.
2. Proven record in curriculum development, quality assurance, and outcome-based education.
3. Experience in academic coordination or program leadership is a plus.

Other Requirements:

1. Strong publication record (attach list of publications).

3. Excellent communication and cross-cultural skills.
4. Valid residency status in the UAE or willingness to transfer visa sponsorship.
