Job Responsibilities:
- Oversees & manage all aspects related to the Warehouse building and grounds maintenance of the Facility.
- Organize and co-ordinate all building related maintenance activities including cleaning, regular breakdowns and fitment jobs.
- Secure that the control of Racking systems, Facility assets, MHE and building maintenance respect the legal aspects.
- Organise and co-ordinate all equipment, machineries, batteries PM & CM maintenance activities.
- Secure that the safety and security demands on technical equipment and building are managed effectively.
- Manage the general Maintenance Services & KPI requirements (lead Service team and or take contract responsibility in case of outsourced vendor services).
- Preparation and utilization of Maintenance budget allocations.
- Responsible for Maintenance, operations, cleaning and general procurement.
- Manage waste management and maintain records to align contractual requirements.
- Responsible to have the breakdowns reported and have it operational to support operation requirements.
- Co-ordinate with operations team on required modifications like beams, gates, sign boards etc.
- Monitoring on wear and tear, damages and repairing to original state.
- Liaising with operation and the maintenance contractor/suppliers for the full-time functionality of the Dock door, dock levelers, sliding doors and fire doors and equipment.
- Manage security systems, personnel (vendor) systems, controls and records.
- Monitoring of the floor & roof condition reporting of the various floor cracks/expansion joint which hamper operations for timely repairs.
- Maintaining MSDS for all the hazardous items at site.
- Daily inspection and reporting of the safety and security issues at site.
- Ensure all building systems and suppliers are working in a compliant manner.
- Ensuring the annual Operation fitness certificate is secured from the authorities.
HSE Management:
- Lead, monitor and implement the HSE goals & objectives and relative KPI’s set by the Management Team.
- Lead HSE matters by example and provide leadership, feedback, and assistance to achieve the set goals.
- Promote the deployment of OSHA's safety rules and regulations.
- Be the lead in waste management & sustainable initiatives and its continuous monitor.
- Conduct safety audits both internal and external.
- Participate in accident/incident investigation. Carry out analysis of accident/incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.
- Provide technical support to Senior Management on any safety/occupational Risk related subjects.
- Conduct in-house safety trainings and Audits.
- Provide safety related engineering inputs into new projects and operational work process modifications.
- Participate in HSE meetings with clients/external vendors and represent the organization’s goals and values.
- Perform/Assign Risk Assessments – both Operational and occupational.
- Hold responsibility for HSE budget and oversight activity and resource expenditure.
- Carry out annual performance evaluation of HSE staff at sites.
- Lead Safety Audits, Management walk-through, inspection, Risk Assessment, ER drills, FA and FF trained POCs etc.
Team Management:
- Participate in hiring process of the Team.
- Shift Roaster / Leave Management of the team.
- Guide, train and monitor the team members to ensure safety and quality at work.
- Ensure team prepares customer specific service delivery SOP as per KPI.
- Assist and Guide in the implementation of Client KPI and Checks.
- Periodic audit of members to ensure adherence to set policies.
- Periodic reporting and analysis of performance.
- Co-ordinate with Operations and HR on Labour related regulations of facility team workings.
- Maintain & Conduct regular trainings on process change, refreshers, follow-up, and skill development for the team.
Sustainability & KPI Management:
- Ensure Compliance Standards in facility management set by the management.
- Maintain the compliance and KPI Goals are met, present period reports and improvements.
- Implement plans and checks to ensure the work process and procedures are sustainable.
- Analyze and execute strategies to address issues such as energy use, resource conservation, recycling, pollution reduction, waste elimination, transportation, education, and building design.
- Research environmental concerns and sustainability issues for the facility.
- Execute sustainable organizational policies or practices.
- Develop methodologies to assess the viability or success of sustainability initiatives.
- Analyze data to and submit periodic reports on progress.
- Develop/oversee the development of sustainability evaluation or monitoring systems.
- Supervise workers performing environmentally sustainable activities.
- Train & develop awareness in the sustainable initiatives and their support to achieve it.
- Implement a proper waste management system; housekeeping systems in workplaces, & maintain social hygiene.
Desired Skills:
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience of managing a large Warehouse facility.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent / Construction management.
- Experience of preparing policies/manuals for effective facility management.
- Experience of conducting safety & risk assessment in a workplace.
- NEBOSH or IOSH Certified. OSHA certification will be an added advantage.
- Excellent knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, Environmental Discharges, Incident Command System, Incident Investigation, HSE Auditing Techniques, Haz. Management.
- Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of MEP, plumbing, HVAC, Security and other building systems.
- Knowledge of occupational safety and local laws and regulations governing security/safety procedures and policies.
- Aware and familiar with Free Zone standards and regulations, experience of Trakhees system will be an add-on.
- Proficiency with repair tools and techniques.
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors and team members. Speaking Hindi can be an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent with time management, organization and prioritization abilities.
- Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
