We’re looking to hire a Facilities Manager!
We are seeking a qualified professional with a hospitality background who will achieve excellence in the operational delivery of FM services, uphold the highest standards, ensure energy conservation practices, and manage the FM scope of the contract to ensure quality and timely deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for total facility management services including housekeeping, MEP and building services, security, concierge, and administration.
- Manage non-technical outsourced service contracts and company personnel, including inspections and quality management of service delivery—covering all housekeeping, security, and administration functions.
- Ensure an adequate supply of materials and services for proper building operation; enter into supply and service contracts in coordination with the contracts/stores and purchase department.
- Routinely inspect all contracted services to ensure performance standards are maintained.
- Train subordinates in all aspects of technical and non-technical services.
- Actively multi-skill company staff to increase flexibility and job satisfaction.
- Report incidents within the time frame set in the escalation matrix.
- Support central stores in identifying and sourcing spares and consumables for all equipment, maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Prepare breakdown analysis reports and review them with subordinates.
- Establish contract-specific continuous improvement strategies to promote efficiency, energy reduction, and best practices.
- Champion the implementation and support the use of CAFM on every contract, using it to report performance proactively and reactively.
- Manage excellent relationships with clients, suppliers, and other partners.
- Serve as a role model for people management processes, ensuring objectives are clarified, performance is actively managed, and skills are developed (e.g., 121’s, team talks, team reviews).
- Retain staff by challenging resource levels to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Set objectives for direct reports and review them bi-monthly, ensuring consistent approaches and mechanisms across the team.
- Support the development of business-wide FM initiatives, including contract renewals, cost reduction strategies, contract management plans, and customer improvement plans.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge and experience in providing facilities management services to a broad range of customers.
- A proven track record of managing a facility management contract with multiple services.
- Likely to have over 5 years of managerial experience.
- Membership in a professional body is an added advantage.
- Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
