To oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and safety of all building systems and facilities. The Facility Manager will ensure a smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operation of company properties while maintaining the highest standards of service and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all preventive and corrective maintenance activities across HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and civil infrastructure.
- Lead a team of technicians and external contractors, ensuring performance meets company standards and safety protocols.
- Develop and manage the annual facilities budget, ensuring efficient control of expenditures.
- Ensure the implementation of emergency response procedures and the readiness of all facilities.
- Plan and implement facility upgrades, renovations, and expansion projects in coordination with relevant departments.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for building systems, permits, and service contracts.
- Provide regular performance and incident reports to senior management.
- Ensure all facility operations comply with local authority regulations and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to secure the best value and service levels.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in facility management or technical maintenance roles, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory position.
- Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, building management systems (BMS), electrical, and plumbing infrastructure.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of CMMS systems is a plus.
- Fluent in Arabic (required); good command of English is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Certifications (a plus):
- PMP, NEBOSH, or Certified Facility Manager (CFM)
- Experience working in the UAE or GCC region is an added advantage.
