Job summary

Marriott International's Element property is seeking a facilities leader to manage engineering and maintenance operations, focusing on safety, security, and asset protection. You will oversee budgets, capital projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation while ensuring regulatory compliance and regulatory standards.

You will support emergency response and coordinate with external contractors to ensure timely completion of projects within budget.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years in engineering/maintenance or related area; HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.
• Or 2-year degree in Building/Construction or related major with 1 year experience; HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.

Responsibilities

• Manages physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems.
• Ensures regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards.
• Manages heat, light and power and recommends energy-efficient operations.
• Develops specs for service contracts and administers them to support building needs.
• Distributes preventive maintenance and repair work orders; monitors timeliness and quality.
• Oversees maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public spaces, restaurants, and vehicles.
• Develops long-term maintenance plans and asset protection strategies.
• Plans renovation or new construction projects and manages contractor bids.
• Builds relationships with city departments, fire authorities and vendors.
• Ensures fire crew understands procedures, equipment, and alarms.
