Job summary

Nexa Engineering Consulting LLC in Dubai is seeking an experienced Facade Designer - Glass & Aluminium to join our growing team. The role focuses on developing and coordinating detailed facade shop drawings and design packages for high-rise residential projects, ensuring compliance with UAE codes and project specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Architectural Engineering, or Architectural Technology.
• Proven experience in facade design and detailing for high-rise and super high-rise residential buildings in the UAE/GCC.
• Strong knowledge of curtain wall systems, aluminium cladding, windows, and structural glazing.
• Familiarity with aluminium extrusion systems, thermal breaks, glass specifications, brackets, anchors, sealants, and fire-stopping details.
• Understanding of wind loads, thermal and acoustic performance, and facade testing requirements.
• Knowledge of Dubai Building Code, UAE authority requirements, and international standards (ASTM, EN, AAMA, CWCT).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit and other facade design software are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed facade shop drawings, sections, elevations, and construction details for glass and aluminium facade systems.
• Work on curtain wall, cladding, aluminium windows, and structural glazing for high-rise projects.
• Develop facade details from tender/design through construction and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to resolve design clashes and technical issues.
• Review facade systems, materials, specifications, and submissions for compliance.
• Coordinate with facade contractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure design accuracy and buildability.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, authority requirements, and international standards.

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating detailed, technically compliant facade shop drawings and design packages for high-rise and super high-rise residential buildings, ensuring alignment with project specifications, applicable codes, and approved design requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed facade shop drawings, sections, elevations, and construction details for glass and aluminium facade systems.
• Work on curtain wall, cladding, aluminium windows, and structural glazing systems for high-rise and super high-rise residential projects.
• Develop facade details from tender and design development stages through construction and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to resolve design clashes and technical issues.
• Review facade systems, materials, specifications, and technical submissions for compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with facade contractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure design accuracy and buildability.
• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE building codes, authority requirements, and relevant international standards.
