Job summary

MAFFEIS Engineering S.p.A. in Dubai invites qualified professionals to join our façade design department at the Dubai office, with opportunities for junior and experienced candidates.

You will work on building envelopes for diverse projects, participate in meetings, prepare technical documentation, perform thermal and structural calculations, produce drawings and 3D models, and coordinate with our HQ IT team in Italy.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Engineering or Building Systems Engineering.
• Strong personal interest in building envelope design and willingness to learn on international projects.
• Good command of English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• Knowledge of 3D design, BIM and CAD software; FEM software experience is a plus.
• Previous experience in the façade industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Designing building envelopes for residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.
• Attending project meetings and supporting clients in technical evaluations and decision-making.
• Preparing the technical documentation required throughout the different design stages.
• Carrying out thermal and structural calculations to support proposed solutions.
• Producing technical drawings and 3D models to represent the proposed design solutions.
• Coordinating with the HQ IT team in Italy regarding escalations, projects and IT policies.

Job description

We are looking for professionals to join our façade design department at our Dubai office.

Candidates with different levels of seniority, from junior candidates to experienced professionals, will be considered.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be involved in:

• designing building envelopes for residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects;
• attending project meetings and supporting clients in technical evaluations and decision‑making;
• preparing the technical documentation required throughout the different design stages;
• carrying out structural and thermal calculations to support the proposed technical solutions;
• producing technical drawings and 3D models to represent the proposed design solutions;
• coordinating with the HQ IT team in Italy regarding escalations, company projects and IT policies.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Engineering or Building Systems Engineering;
• a strong personal interest in building envelope design;
• a willingness to learn and work on complex international projects;
• excellent communication skills and a strong team‑oriented mindset;
• a good command of English; knowledge of additional languages will be considered an advantage;
• knowledge of 3D design, BIM and CAD software;
• a sound understanding of the calculation principles required to perform thermal or structural analyses using FEM software.

Previous experience in the façade industry will be considered an advantage. The level of responsibility and assigned tasks will be determined according to the candidate’s experience and seniority.
