Job description

This well-reputed Design Engineering consultancy is seeking a Facade Consultant to join their growing team in Dubai.

Reporting to the Facade Engineering Director, the Senior Facade Consultant will be responsible for:

1. Providing technical input at the project level (including reports, specifications, submission reviews, etc.) and at review level (technical checks of documents produced by team members).
2. Bidding for new projects, both façade-standalone and as part of a multidisciplinary group.
3. Providing technical scope for bids, including pricing information, and following up as required.
4. Hands-on design work and interfacing with external architects, engineers, and contractors.
5. Supporting the Director in managing design and technical excellence within the façade department, and controlling risks associated with submitted technical documents.
6. Managing costs and resources at the project level.
7. Preparing monthly project invoices and ensuring cash collection for projects under the direct management of the Director.
8. Assisting in recruiting, developing, and training junior façade staff members in the future.

The ideal candidate should have around 10-15 years of post-graduation experience in an Engineering, Construction, or Architecture Degree, with recent experience ideally based in the Middle East/UAE.

A Postgraduate Degree in Façade Engineering would be highly advantageous.

Experience in façade design and delivery within a consulting environment, architecture (with extensive façade involvement), or within a reputed design consultancy is required.

Knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D modelling tools, Revit, and structural design software (Strand, Staad, Mepla, etc.) would be highly advantageous.

Relevant projects include high-rise buildings, hotels, retail, and mixed-use developments.

Excellent communication skills and polished presentation abilities are essential, as this individual will be client-facing and liaising with external consultants and internal teams.
