Job summary

Absolute Technical Systems LLP seeks a Planning Engineer specializing in Fabrication & Construction to develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules. You will integrate fabrication with construction timelines, monitor progress, and prepare reports to keep projects on time and within budget.

The role requires strong knowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project and experience with critical path analysis, earned value management, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering,

Qualifications

• Experience in planning for EPC, fabrication, and construction projects.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle and schedules.
• Familiarity with earned value management and progress reporting.
• Ability to coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules (EPC, Fabrication, Construction).
• Integrate detailed fabrication schedules with overall construction schedules.
• Monitor progress against baselines; analyze deviations and impacts.
• Prepare progress reports, including S-curves, critical path analysis, and look-ahead schedules.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and gather data for updates.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction teams to ensure alignment.
• Identify risks, delays and opportunities and develop mitigation plans.
• Perform resource loading and leveling to optimize manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Facilitate schedule reviews and present status to management and clients.
• Ensure planning activities comply with specs and industry standards.
• Support change management by assessing impact on baselines.
