Primary Responsibilities

• Serves food and beverage to guests according to prescribed service standards and procedures of room service with emphasis on speed and accuracy.
• Serves all accompaniments and condiments together with the food.
• Maintains the cleanliness and service supply at the service station to ensure prompt and effective operation.
• Checks all trays and trolleys in the station; ensures table complements such as flatware, glassware, linens are clean and well set up.
• Familiarizes with all food and beverage items on the menu, promotions, and daily special menu, including ingredients, method of preparation, portion size, and presentation to deliver ideal service and maximize guest satisfaction.
• Practices suggestive selling to boost food & beverage sales while increasing guest satisfaction.
• Assists the Restaurant Captain in monthly and daily operating equipment inventory.
• Attends pre‑meal briefing & debriefing daily, monthly F & B Staff Meeting, and other training sessions organized by the hotel for staff.
• Accomplishes and forwards captain order slips to the kitchen for food orders and to the supervisor for drinks; efficiently and correctly keys in orders from POS to the kitchen printer.
• Confirms guest satisfaction and informs supervisor or manager immediately in case of guest complaints.
• Reports to the Restaurant Captain at the start of shift for instructions, side duties, floor assignment, menu changes, guest comments, and complaints.
• Reports any unusual incidents, guest complaints, lost and found, breakage, and losses to the Service Supervisor.
• Generates higher revenue through up‑selling techniques and skill.
• Conducts cashiering operations in a restaurant with self‑cashiering functions and equipment.
• Checks accuracy of all charged items in the bill before presenting to guests.
• Handles guest bills and invoices in a good quality manner.
• Provides assistance to co‑employees within food & beverage and other departments to foster teamwork and success for the hotel.
• Attends briefing meetings and training organized by hotel management to develop and improve service skills and knowledge.
• Performs any other duties assigned by the immediate superior that lead to guest satisfaction and profit for the hotel.
