Job Description
  • Present a positive first impression of the establishment’s friendliness, excellent service, and high standards.
  • Greet guests upon arrival, inform guests of their wait time, monitor a waiting list, enter names into the computer system, show guests to their table, and bid them farewell as they leave.
  • Inform guests about current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff.
  • Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
  • Issue dining charges by verifying orders, calculating taxes, totaling bills for to-go orders, and receiving payments by validating credit charges, approving checks, and accepting currency.
  • Handle guest reservation details from the reservation system, table allocation, dietary requirements, and billing.
Qualifications

  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a similar role.
  • Hospitality background is preferred.
