Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Export Sales Manager to drive scaffolding sales and secure large-scale projects in the Africa and Middle East & Africa (MEA) region. This is a highly operational role suited to a self-motivated individual who thrives on working independently. The successful candidate will focus on business development, project acquisition, and client engagement requiring extensive travel within the assigned regions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Finding and Growing Business
  • Look for big scaffolding projects in industrial sectors.
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, project managers, and decision-makers.
  • Travel across Africa and MEA to meet clients and understand their needs.
  • Sales Activities
    • Work hard to meet sales targets by selling scaffolding solutions.
    • Create and present proposals that show the value of the company's products.
    • Negotiate deals and ensure they match client needs.
  • Supporting Projects
    • Work with company teams to deliver products on time and as promised.
    • Be the go-to person for clients during sales and delivery.
    • Share feedback about projects and market trends with the company.
  • Market Research and Reporting
    • Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities.
    • Keep records of sales and client interactions.
    • Report on sales performance and market conditions regularly.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in export sales and scaffolding.
    • Proven track record of securing large-scale projects and meeting sales targets.
    • Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems and industrial applications.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
    • Results-driven with a strong customer focus.
    • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Capable of adapting to diverse cultural and business environments.
    • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of French or Arabic is a plus.
    • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Africa and MEA regions.
