Basic Function
As the Sales and Marketing Manager, you will lead and manage the sales and marketing team to drive the growth of the company’s own brand, SCOPE Lubricants, in global export markets. This role involves overseeing distributor management, developing marketing strategies, and achieving the agreed sales target for the brand across regions, including Africa, CIS, Middle East, North and South America, and Southeast Asia.
Work Performed
- Lead Sales and Marketing Team: Guide and support the team to achieve business goals for the SCOPE brand in export markets.
- Distributor Management: Assign and manage distributors for SCOPE Lubricants across the regions, ensuring optimal performance and expansion.
- Sales Target Achievement: Drive sales efforts to meet the annual sales volume target for SCOPE Lubricants in global markets and achieve targeted growth of 300% in the next 5 years.
- Market Promotion: Promote the company’s grease and lubricants products within the assigned target markets to maximize sales.
- Lead Generation & Deal Closure: Identify and pursue new business leads, successfully closing deals with potential customers for SCOPE Lubricants.
- Account Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with major customers and distributors, applying effective account management strategies to drive volume growth.
- Regional Office Management: Oversee the West Africa regional office and assign a sales team to manage and grow the West African markets.
- Reporting & Performance Review: Prepare and present monthly sales reports to management, offering insight into performance, opportunities, and challenges.
- Collaboration with Technical Team: Work with the technical department to improve existing products and develop new ones, contributing to increased revenue and cost reduction.
- Debt Collection & Credit Management: Ensure timely collection of outstanding debts and manage credit limits to maintain cash flow and ensure optimal revenue.
- Exhibitions & Seminars: Represent SCOPE Lubricants at exhibitions, trade shows, and technical seminars to raise awareness and showcase products.
- Customer Complaint Handling: Follow established procedures for handling customer complaints, collaborating with the technical department to identify causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in lubricants sales operations and export business, specifically within Africa and CIS regions.
- In-depth knowledge of the lubricants and grease manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in developing and executing strategic plans in a manufacturing-based industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Arabic and English. Additional fluency in French or any Western language is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required.
