Our client is seeking an experienced Export Manager with a specialized background in aluminum containers PET and related material manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in export management and business development focusing on key African markets specifically Morocco, Tunisia, South Africa, and Libya. This strategic leadership role requires expertise in international trade, logistics, and cross-cultural client management within a high-volume manufacturing setting.
You will be responsible for leading and managing the export department, developing new market opportunities, and ensuring operational excellence in export processes and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the end-to-end export process, ensuring compliance, accurate documentation, and on-time delivery.
Develop and implement market entry strategies for target countries including Morocco, Tunisia, South Africa, and Libya with a focus on PET and aluminum packaging products.
Establish, develop, and maintain long-term client relationships with distributors, agents, and key accounts in designated regions.
Lead contract negotiations, prepare proposals, and develop competitive pricing strategies aligned with market demands.
Ensure adherence to international trade laws, customs regulations, and internal company policies.
Collaborate with internal teams including production, quality control, logistics, and R&D to ensure customer requirements are met.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the export markets.
Drive sales growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities and optimizing existing client portfolios.
Represent the company at international trade fairs, exhibitions, and client meetings to strengthen brand presence and network within the industry.
Prepare and deliver performance reports including sales forecasts, KPIs, and market feedback to senior management.
Lead and mentor the export team, ensuring high levels of performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements Education
Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics or a related field.
An MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualifications are preferred.
Experience
8-12 years of progressive experience in export management with a focus on PET and aluminum container manufacturing.
Proven experience handling exports to African markets, particularly Morocco, Tunisia, South Africa, and Libya.
Strong knowledge of export documentation, international trade compliance, and logistics.
Experience working with ERP systems and export management software.
Familiarity with product specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations for PET and aluminum packaging.
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in managing and developing teams.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a results-oriented approach.
High cultural awareness and ability to work effectively in diverse international markets.
