Job Description

The Purpose of the Role

The Field Service Engineer plays a crucial role in providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for complex machinery, equipment, or systems. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives in processes related to field services and product development. You will lead cross-functional groups to resolve administrative difficulties related to delivery and installation of equipment. Acting as an escalation point for Field Service Specialists, Service Engineers, and other stakeholders, this position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and travel extensively to customer sites. The engineer collaborates with internal teams and interacts directly with customers to ensure efficient operation and customer satisfaction. Experience in custody transfer level measurement and gas flow metering is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  2. On-site Support: Provide technical assistance, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair services at customer locations.
  3. Customer Interaction: Understand customer requirements, address inquiries, and provide training on equipment operation and maintenance.
  4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports and equipment status updates.
  5. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute schedules to proactively address potential equipment issues.
  6. Collaboration: Work with engineering, sales, and support teams to provide comprehensive service.
  7. Product Improvement: Provide feedback to engineering for product and service enhancements.
  8. Technical Expertise: Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to enhance support capabilities.
  9. Safety and Compliance: Follow safety policies and regulatory guidelines during all activities.
  10. Travel: Travel domestically and internationally to perform on-site support as required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; relevant certifications may substitute.
  • Proven experience in field service or related technical roles.
  • Strong knowledge of machinery, systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
