Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Expediting Engineer to join our dynamic team in the oil & gas sector. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment by coordinating with suppliers and contractors, while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery to meet project schedules and required receiving dates at site.
2. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to expedite materials, ensuring compliance with client standards.
3. Monitor the progress of orders placed until final delivery at site locations.
4. Review production schedules, manufacturing processes, and supplier capabilities to prevent delays.
5. Regularly communicate with suppliers to obtain updates on production schedules and identify potential bottlenecks.
6. Visit supplier and vendor facilities as needed to monitor manufacturing and assembly processes.
7. Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
8. Monitor critical path items and ensure suppliers meet milestones as per the project schedule.
9. Address delays, discrepancies, or quality issues.
10. Maintain accurate records of material deliveries, shipment status, and supplier performance.
11. Create and maintain comprehensive reports for all expediting activities.
12. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client standards.
13. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, logistics, quality control) to resolve issues.
14. Support project management teams with logistics and schedule updates.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
2. 7-10 years of experience in expediting within the oil and gas industry.
3. Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
4. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
5. Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers and contractors.
6. Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

Work Environment:

1. Willingness to travel to supplier facilities and client project sites as necessary.
2. Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments, particularly on large oil and gas projects with tight deadlines.
