Job Title : Director – Exhibitions & Sales

Location : UAE

Contract Duration : ASAP until December 31, 2025

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Director – Exhibitions & Sales to lead the strategic planning, sales execution, and on-ground delivery of a prestigious, high-profile exhibition taking place in the UAE this December. This senior leadership role will oversee all aspects of exhibitor engagement, from sales strategy and key account management to operational delivery, ensuring a seamless and world-class experience for both exhibitors and visitors.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in large-scale exhibitions, trade shows, or B2B event environments and will have a demonstrated ability to drive revenue, manage cross-functional teams, and execute complex projects within tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Commercial Leadership

  • Define and implement the overarching exhibition sales strategy in alignment with event goals and commercial objectives.
  • Establish and manage KPIs, sales targets, and revenue reporting frameworks.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and partnership teams to identify sectoral priorities and shape thematic exhibition zones accordingly.

Sales, Business Development & Key Accounts

  • Lead B2B sales efforts and relationship development with high-value exhibitors, industry leaders, and regional / international stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and secure major exhibitor deals, ensuring alignment with client objectives and event positioning.
  • Represent the event at senior levels, including C-suite, government delegations, and global partners, to maximize commercial opportunities and strategic alliances.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales and exhibitor management team.
  • Work in close coordination with production, operations, marketing, and design teams to ensure seamless planning and delivery.
  • Oversee tools and systems for tracking sales progress, booth layouts, technical specs, deadlines, and logistics.

Exhibitor Experience & Onsite Delivery

  • Ensure an exceptional end-to-end exhibitor journey, from onboarding to post-event support.
  • Maintain content integrity and storytelling alignment across all exhibition zones.
  • Supervise the planning and execution of layouts, booth builds, branding, and logistical requirements in coordination with internal teams and external vendors.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Events Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in exhibitions, trade shows, or B2B event environments, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership / director-level role.
  • Proven success in driving commercial revenue and managing large-scale event delivery.
  • Experience engaging with high-level clients, government stakeholders, and international partners.
  • Strong track record of team leadership and cross-functional coordination.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a delivery-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Effective under pressure, with excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Proficient in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and project tracking tools.
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
