Job summary

HQMENA is seeking a Stand Builder Designer to lead the creation and production of custom exhibition stands. You will conceptualize, render, and prepare technical designs aligned with client branding, goals, and budget constraints.

The role blends creative flair with strong fabrication knowledge, coordinating with production teams to ensure feasible, high-quality builds for international events. Travel for site inspections may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design or a related field.
• Minimum 23 years of experience in exhibition stand design or a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative and functional exhibition stands that reflect client objectives and brand identity.
• Develop 2D and 3D visualizations, floor plans, elevations and technical drawings.
• Select materials, lighting, finishes and structures for each project.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, clients and production teams to ensure accurate execution.
• Adjust designs based on client feedback and structural feasibility.
• Ensure all stand designs comply with venue regulations, health and safety standards and installation requirements.
• Support onsite stand build supervision when needed.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with international exhibitions or large-format events.
• Knowledge of sustainable and reusable design techniques.
• Hands-on experience with stand build or fabrication is a plus.
• Ability to travel for site inspections or build supervision when required.
