About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Exhibition and Planning Unit Head to lead the planning and delivery of our temporary exhibitions programme. This pivotal role will oversee the successful execution of all exhibitions—from concept to completion—ensuring they are delivered to the highest curatorial standards, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall temporary exhibition programme, including rotating collection exhibitions.
• Ensure comprehensive planning, resource allocation, and delivery of exhibitions in line with the Museum’s strategic objectives.
• Oversee coordination and effective communication among the Curatorial, Registration & Collections Management, and Conservation teams.
• Take full responsibility for exhibitions budgets, ensuring effective financial oversight and cost control.
• Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to ensure timely communication and delivery of the exhibitions and displays programme across the Museum.
• Identify critical risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
• Evaluate all exhibitions and implement improvements based on audience feedback and performance data.
• Continuously collect and analyse audience engagement and attendance data to inform programming decisions.
• Work closely with the Development Department to secure sponsorship for exhibitions and installations
