Title: Executive-R&D Product Development

Job Location: Port Khalid (Sharjah)

Job Summary

Product development and Project Management: Bring in the necessary skills and expertise to develop relevant formulation and processes for personal care products innovations and existing products especially soap bar, noodles, value engineering, private label etc. and deliver on time in full (OTIF) while meeting cost targets. Lead few NPD projects independently and support projects through effective and efficient delivery of trials (and preliminary analysis of results), product, technical reports or communication. Contribute to the planning and execute trials, tests, measurement activities within projects. Should have strong willingness to work with the team and build interpersonal relationships for faster project deliveries.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Development of new products and processes based on the direction given by the supervisors and by applying his/her own experience and creativity.
2. Support projects through effective and efficient delivery of trials (and preliminary analysis of results), product, technical reports or communication.
3. Lead Soap bar projects like Translucent/transparent, syndet, low cost bar etc.
4. Handle Pvt. Label projects and product development as per customer requirement.
5. Contribute to the planning and execute trials, tests, measurement activities within projects.
6. Make Hand Wash, Shampoo, Dish Wash products in R&D lab and conduct plant trials.
7. Make bar soap batches in pilot plant.

Value Engineering and EPD

1. Deliver assigned value engineering projects across sites on previously developed products.
2. Ensure the revamp of existing products as per the business brief and set up the processes.

Product Evaluation & Instrument Handling

1. Conduct evaluation of the products developed.
2. Generate new technical claims based on the data and feed to marketing communication plan.
3. Instrument handling: Gas Chromatography, Viscometer, Spectrophotometer, etc.
4. Define and propose technical specifications.
5. Conduct GC analysis for the fatty acids, oils and finished product.
6. Keep the lab and instruments up and running with on time calibrations etc.
7. Develop new methods of analysis in coordination with QC chemists.
8. Systematic documentation of the experimental results in the record books.

KPIs

1. OTIF Product development and technical deliveries.
2. Successful introduction of products/launch.
3. Improving production process and efficiency.
4. Support to Plant quality for maintaining product consistency.
5. Establishing and bringing in new technologies to the products with stronger claims.

Work Experience Requirement

4-7 years of working experience in Personal and Home care Category.

Qualification

Master's degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering / B.Tech / BE.
