Job summary

Black & Grey HR Consultancy FZE is partnering with a Commercial Real Estate firm in Abu Dhabi to recruit a Projects Director. The role oversees design and construction streams for new developments and asset enhancements, guiding the Development & Projects department to deliver on time, within budget, and to brand standards.

The role requires extensive leadership of internal and external teams, with a focus on strategic planning, risk management, and continuous improvement in asset delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• PMP or equivalent certification highly regarded.
• Minimum 15 years in design and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategy with CEO; translate into annual plans for Development & Projects.
• Lead internal design teams and external consultants to deliver aligned project outcomes.
• Monitor contractor performance; ensure compliance with regulatory standards and brand guidelines.
• Direct budgeting and financial performance of the department; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Mentor and develop team members; drive performance and professional growth.
• Participate in CEO weekly management discussions; support cross-functional alignment.
