As the Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation and delivery of our pastry offerings, elevating the guest experience with imaginative and high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods. Your leadership will shape the culinary vision and ensure the success of our pastry operations from day one.
How your day looks like :
- Lead the development and execution of innovative pastry concepts, ensuring they align with Mondrian’s creative and bold vision.
- Oversee the daily operations of the pastry kitchen, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and excellence in every product.
- Manage inventory and control costs without compromising quality, ensuring that the pastry division operates efficiently and profitably.
- Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and safety are maintained in the pastry kitchen, adhering to local and international regulations.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the pastry team, providing training, mentorship, and motivation to inspire excellence and creativity.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to integrate pastry offerings into the overall dining experience, creating unique and memorable guest moments.
- Monitor guest feedback and incorporate it into the continuous improvement of the pastry offerings.
- Drive sustainability within the pastry division, focusing on local sourcing, reducing waste, and implementing eco-friendly practices.
- Ensure the timely preparation and delivery of all pastry items for hotel outlets, events, and special functions.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Pastry Kitchen management, with at least 3 years in an Executive-level role, ideally in a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment.
- Experience working in a truly global work environment is essential.
- Prior pre-opening experience is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of the operational and logistical aspects involved.
- Exceptional knowledge of pastry techniques, trends, and presentation, with a deep passion for creativity and innovation.
- Expertise in luxury dining and innovative food and beverage concepts.
- Strong customer orientation, emotional intelligence, and credibility, with a sense of commitment and accountability.
- Leadership skills that inspire and unify teams around common goals, striving for excellence in both quality and financial outcomes.
- Strong financial management experience with the ability to control budgets and achieve cost efficiencies.
- A deep passion for creating exceptional dining experiences and pushing the boundaries of culinary innovation.
- Knowledge of food trends, sustainability initiatives, and industry best practices.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and current culinary trends.
- Familiarity with kitchen management software and POS systems is a plus.
