Title: Executive - Packaging (Personal Care)

Job Summary

The Executive - Packaging (Personal Care) will utilize their skills and expertise to develop relevant packaging and processes for personal care product innovations, ensuring timely delivery within cost targets (OTIF). They will support projects through effective execution of packaging trials, preliminary analysis of results, and communication. The role involves planning and executing trials, tests, and measurement activities within projects. The candidate should demonstrate a strong willingness to collaborate with the team and build interpersonal relationships to facilitate faster project deliveries.

Roles & Responsibilities

Packaging Development and Project Management

• Support need-based packaging development for all specified projects, adhering to timelines, ensuring timely follow-up, coordination, and communication based on supervisor guidance, applying personal experience and creativity. Key materials include HDPE, PET, PP, pumps, caps, labels, outer cartons, etc.
• Assist in delivering trials efficiently, analyzing preliminary results, and preparing technical reports or communications.
• Handle label projects and product development according to customer requirements.
• Plan and execute trials, tests, and measurement activities within projects.

Value Engineering and EPD

• Support scope-based packaging development through value engineering and specification upgrades where applicable.
• Coordinate and arrange relevant packaging materials for trials.

Packaging Evaluation & Instrument Handling

• Conduct evaluations on developed packaging.
• Handle instruments properly.
• Define and propose technical specifications.
• Maintain lab and instruments with timely calibrations.
• Document experimental results systematically.

KPIs

Packaging Development and Project Management

• OTIF delivery of packaging development and technical projects.
• Successful product launches.
• Improve production processes and efficiency.
• Support plant quality to maintain packaging consistency.
• Introduce new technologies and sustainability initiatives in packaging.

Value Engineering and EPD

• OTIF delivery of value engineering projects that bring savings to the P&L.
• Timely delivery of EPD as per stakeholder timelines.

Packaging Evaluation & Instrument Handling

• Evaluate products against benchmarks.
• Ensure technical attributes of packaging materials.
• Proper handling of lab instruments.
• Maintain good documentation practices.

Work Experience Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in the Personal and Home Care category.
• Experience in PC and Home Care Packaging development, including HDPE, PET, jars, pumps, tubes, wrappers, PP, labels, etc.

Qualification

Engineering or Diploma in Packaging - Mandatory
